Contains three bottles each:
2019 The Revolution Will Not Be Televised, Red Wine, Sierra Foothills
Influenced by Beaujolais nouveau-style wines, this is 2019 vintage red wine from the Sierra Foothills spent just three months in barrel and was bottled with minimal filtration to preserve the bright, fresh characteristics. Because of this, there will be sediment inside each bottle from the winemaking process that tells you it is legit. At the core of this lighter-bodied red wine is 60% Pinot Noir, supported by 26% Cinsault, 13% Valdigué, and 1% Mourvèdre. This is our first time working with Valdiguié, which was once fairly popular in California and referred to as "Napa Gamay" until 1980 when genetic testing proved it wasn't.
2018 Somewhere Out On That Horizon, Red Wine, Mendocino County, Fox Hill Vineyard
This Italian blend brings our old friends Primitivo and Sangiovese back to the table along with a new guest, Negroamaro – a southern Italian grape whose name translates to “black” and “bitter." It gives this wine notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and stout. Primitivo, otherwise known as the alter-ego of Zinfandel, lends flavors of ripe blackberries and blueberries, while the Sangiovese adds great acidity and notes of red fruit.
2018 Fast & Loose, Red Wine, California
We're taking it back to the 1970s when loose cannon detectives drove fast cars, had long sideburns, and always got their perp. Fast & Loose plays by its own rules, creating a high-speed, wild ride that's sure to piss off the entire department. New to our cast is Teroldego, an Italian grape that lends some amazingly purple color and spice to this ensemble. To really mix things up, we also have Pinot Gris and Roussanne working undercover to add the perfect amount of acidity. Combined with the other varietals, this wine beams with elegant blackberry, plum, chocolate, a bit of coffee (because, of course), and just the right amount of tannins.
2017 Wild Eyes, Red Wine, Napa Valley
Wild Eyes is a tempestuous Bordeaux-style wine that lures you in with every sip. A blend of 51% Malbec, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Merlot, our winemaking team wrote a love song to the buxom wines of Napa Valley. For the first time, we give Malbec the spotlight, creating slightly softer layers of dark fruit, with captivating tannins and natural acidity. In your mouth, bewitching flavors of ripe blackberry and milk chocolate unravel with earthy notes of clove, vanilla, and camphor. Voluptuous in body, the finish will leave you lingering like a last kiss.
