God save the Queen...and Rosé.

Your long wait for crisp, refreshing, and flavor-packed Rosé is finally over with our latest release, Pink's Not Dead. This year's riff takes our familiar Provençal-style blend and cranks up all the good stuff.

Though some wineries employ the "saignée" method of making Rosé, where they bleed off juice from a planned red wine as a semi-byproduct, we take this shit (maybe too) seriously. We select grape varieties and pick specifically to produce Rosé as our first and only purpose.

Like with previous vintages, we set out to California's grand Sierra Foothills for Mourvèdre, Grenache, Barbera, and Counoise. The Mediterranean-like climate of the Foothills, with warm days and cool nights, helps grapes develop perfectly ripe flavors while preserving optimal acidity.

The majority of this blend comes from our longtime co-conspirators at Sierra de Montserrat Vineyard, Laraia Vineyard, and Clos du Lac Vineyard. And like most vintages, these lots were the first picks of the year, taking place in mid-August of 2024. The grapes were then lightly pressed, with just enough skin-time to soak in some pink tones, and then right to stainless-steel tanks to ferment and transform into our most fun Rosé...ever.

This Rosé first greets you with that pink hue and a bouquet of wild strawberries and white peaches. On the palate, vibrant flavors of strawberry, juicy watermelon, tart cherry, and pink grapefruit create a nearly erotic sensation on your tongue. The mouthwatering acidity and clean finish will leave you feeling sublimely refreshed.

Now the name and the label, that's another story. Though some have expressed boredom with the Rosé genre, we think it's more exciting than ever and have decided to express that with a punk angst that only Tank Garage Winery is capable of.

A few years ago we decided to import a giant, vintage, pink inflatable pony from Germany. There was just something so weird about it that we knew we needed to order it for something. Smash-cut to 8 months later when this thing shows up on our garage doorstep and we're asking ourselves, "Where did this come from?" But then we remembered, ah, yes, our punk rock Rosé project. Let's get to work.

To channel our inner Jamie Reid, we naturally turned to...a new crew member on her first day at the garage: Diana. "Hey, how is your handwriting?" we asked. "It's pretty good...I think," replies Diana. Great! You are now a punk artist, let's go to the back of the garage.

So we blow up our pony, tag up the wall, and before we know it, we have manifested an industrial-kink masterpiece for our new Rosé: Pink's Not Dead. Diana heads back out to the garage covered in spray paint to host tastings, we get working on the bottling, and the rest is history. See, we told you Rosé was more exciting than ever.
