Our Story
It started with a dream...and an old garage. In 2014, we pumped our love for unique winemaking and vintage California culture into our tank and hit the open road. No destination in mind, just a mission to never dream alone.
Napa Valley didn't need another Tuscan villa or modern farmhouse—it needed a garage. In 2014, James Harder and Jim Regusci opened Tank Garage Winery inside a restored 1930s service station in the town of Calistoga. The crazy idea was to combine our love for motor culture, vintage California, and rock 'n' roll into experimental wine blends from all over the Golden State. And only make 'em once.
At first, we didn’t know if we would make it, but before long, the dreamers came. And they told their friends about this punk rock garage in Napa Valley pumping out unique wines and cool labels, and before we knew it, it was a full-fledged movement.
Tank became known for doing cool shit, pushing the boundaries, and trying things other wineries wouldn’t. A winery not for everybody, but for certain somebodies looking for something fresh (and maybe not giving a few Fucks along the way). An embodiment of what it means to never dream alone.
Through this exploration of California, we fell in love with the Central Coast, and in 2024, opened up a filling station in Paso Robles.
Today, under the ownership of James and Colleen Harder, Tank continues to be a place for the wild ones—those who crave adventure, a little rebellion, and a damn good time in their glass.
