The Heavy is a big walloping, unapologetic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. But it's not just a bruiser, this contender has some flashy footwork too.
John L. Sullivan was an American heavyweight prizefighter from the late 19th century. Sullivan was old school. He started fighting when boxing was illegal, is regarded as the last true bareknuckle champion, the first gloved champion and won more than 450 fights in his career.
You look at Sullivan and think, wow, this guy is a powerful bruiser—and he was. But he wasn’t just a brute. He was a strikingly dynamic, athletic and complex fighter who could dazzle the crowd with speed and swagger or shut his opponent’s lights out with one punch.
Knocked out.
