2013 Dive Motel, White Wine, Napa Valley

About halfway down "Old 99" in Fresno, the historic route briefly becomes Motel Drive. A row of long-forgotten roadside lodges, googie architecture and burnt out neon. At the end of of this strip stands a sign featuring a plunging, swim-capped diver. This famous sign belongs to the Fresno Inn—who, for the record, have color TVs and plenty of vacancy. And our Dive Motel wine is a tribute to vintage americana and summertime.

We love white blends. This one has a Pinot Blanc base that we cut with Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, all sourced from the Yountville valley floors here in Napa Valley. This wine sings, with fresh cut hibiscus flower, stone fruit. It is a crisp, refreshing wine with a vibrant and citrusy finish.
