A wild concoction of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah, our Dark Science is a chemistry experiment gone perfect. We got some gnarly fruit from Amador County, once the epicenter of California viticulture, and turned it over to our mad scientist winemakers to make some of the darkest, jammiest, spiciest wine imaginable.
Maddeningly enticing aromas of lavender, violets, raspberry and licorice cascade into big blackberry jam and plum flavors, with hints of olives, herbs and white pepper. We finished it off with a photo from a 1950s college chemistry lab, because chemistry is just cool.
This experiment is over.
