The date was April 27th, 1986, and John R. MacDougall was having none of HBO's rate-hiking bullshit. Armed with a 30-foot transmitter, an electric keyboard, and a burning rage against the man, this renegade commandeered HBO's signal and made his protests known.
We thought this outlaw deserved a bottle of his own, and after getting our hands on a small lot of killer Nebbiolo from El Dorado County, we knew the time was now.
A classic Nebbiolo with a beautifully pale red color, aromas of melted black licorice and flavors of caramel, dried cherry, and leather. It's layered and complex with bright acidity, supple tannins, and velvety texture.
