The best route, is often the one the crow takes. With this inaugural release, we worked with Australian artist Alex Gillies, who created a hauntingly beautiful woodcut crow for the label.
Nero d'Avola is Sicily's most popular red grape, and used in the region's bestselling varietal wine. The name, which literally means "Black of Avola," is named for the dark-skinned grape that originated in the city of Avola near Sicily. We got ours from Mendocino and married it with some Petite Sirah to create an experience rich with black licorice, milk chocolate, cherries, ripe plum and tobacco-sweet tannins.
